This program is offered at most of our Skill Sprout Clinics!

Do you want to improve your child's use of an alternative communication device so he
or she can be an independent communicator?

Skill Sprout’s Alternative Augmentative Communication Group is your answer!
This group will help prepare your child to use their communication devices in a social setting.
Alternative Augmentative Communication Group will meet weekly for 1 hour sessions for 9 weeks.

WHAT DOES THIS PROGRAM OFFER?

Skill Sprout will now offer an Augmentative Communication (AAC) Group to help prepare children to use their device in a social group setting. Through a small group instruction facilitated by a Certified Speech Language Pathologist your child will acquire the skills to functionally communicate within a group while building relationships with peers. By providing AAC within a group setting, children are able to observe and experience AAC as a common modality of communication increasing their interest and motivation.

WHO IS THIS PROGRAM FOR?

This program is for clients who have mastered Phase IV PECS or have begun using a communication device (communication board, ipad or speech generating device) for communication.
